It's Friday the 13th of October, and Halloween is right around the corner, so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to share some Halloween home decor. I recently posted a fall home decor blog, so I also wanted to make mention of how I mix together my fall and Halloween decor. I didn't want it to be a lot of work to change out every fall decor piece to Halloween, so I kept a lot of the same stuff up, I just added spiderwebs to make it a bit spookier. A few of the fall pieces I took down and replaced with Halloween items (mostly on the mantle), but after Halloween I'm going to put back the autumn pieces until Thanksgiving is over. I don't want this post to get too text heavy, but I will try to list where everything is from.
Here's the overview of our living room area. You'll notice that most of my decorating consisted of adding spiderwebs to decor that was already up and sticking paper bats everywhere. It was super easy, and I think just those two small, inexpensive things make a big enough statement.
Spiderwebs - Walmart
Paper Bats - Walmart
Spider Rings / Glitter Spiders - Walmart
Stay for a Bite Pillow - Lowes
Trick or Treat Pillow - At Home
Spiderweb Pillow - Lowes
Bat Pumpkin - Kirklands
Ceramic Pumpkin - Michaels (2016)
Michaels had these pumpkins again this year, but the face was different and not as cute in my opinion.
Pumpkin Lantern - Dollar Tree
Ghost - CVS
Happy Halloween and Mummy Miniature - Michaels (2016)
Again, Michaels has holiday miniatures for Halloween, but I didn't find this year's selection as good as last year's.
Trick or Treat Sign - Walmart
Ghost Miniature - Michaels (2016)
Ghost Trio- Kohls
Haunted House Sign - Kirklands
Owl Witch - Kirklands (2016)
Skull String Lights - Dollar Tree
FIY, one set of lights wasn't long enough to reach across the mantle, so I tied two sets together with black string and have the battery packs on each end hidden by the mantle decor.
Boo Sign - Walmart
Happy Halloween Pumpkin - Michaels (2016)
Skull - Michaels (they have them in a few colors as well)
Boo Bowl - Target
Dish Towels - Target
Wooden Shapes - Michaels (2016) (I added a magnet to the back of them so I can stick them on my fridge or onto our back door)
Trick or Treat Sign - Michaels
Welcome Ghost Pick - Marshalls
Window Clings - Walmart
Ghost Mat - ?? from last year, either from Walmart or Michaels
Added some spiderwebs to my DIY porch sign to give a creepy Halloween vibe to my autumnal decor.
Ghost Statue - Michaels
Pumpkin Stack - Marshalls
I mentioned this in my last post, but I love this statue because the front has jack-o-lantern faces, but if you turn it around it's just regular pumpkins that you can keep out as fall decor.
Welcome Skeleton Stake - Walmart
Solar Jack-O-Lantern - Marshalls
I was so excited when I found this at Marshalls. To me, it has the perfect Jack-o-Lantern face, and it's solar powered, so I don't ever have to worry about turning in on at night!
Halloween night doesn't feel quite the same now that I'm an adult, but I think it's still fun to decorate and watch Halloween movies and pass out candy to trick-or-treaters. I really enjoyed decorating our house for Halloween, and I hope you enjoyed seeing how it turned out. Hopefully you got some ideas or inspiration for your own homes. If you're curious about any of the regular fall decor pieces, you can check out my previous post; I share pictures as well as list where everything is from. Thanks for checking out this post!
